Six-year-old tennis starlet Lynden Long stepped onto the court for his first competitive tournament last weekend.
The youngster, who trains at Ely 10is Academy, took part in the Titan Tennis tournament in Red Lodge, and went head-to-head with players from around the country.
Lynden lost his first match in the round-robin stage, but came back strongly to triumph in his next three matches.
He secured 10-2, 10-1, 10-8 and 10-3 victories to finish as runner up in pool A, before eventually going out in the semi-finals to the tournament’s eventual winner.
Sebastien Scaux, Ely 10is Academy director, said: “We’re very proud of Lynden’s results but most of all we are really proud of his hard work and positive attitude.”
