Ely City Reserves are languishing near the bottom of the Kershaw Senior A table despite securing a 1-1 draw against Fulbourn Institute Reserves.

The Robins’ reserve side are in fourteenth place in the league, with only one win to their name this season.

Soham Town Rangers Reserves also played out a draw, this time away against Cambridge University Press.

Giovany Lopes and substitute Charlie Russell netted for the away side as they climbed to fifth in the table.

Soham United were defeated, however, as they lost 2-0 to league leaders Outwell Swifts.

It seems nothing can stop the Swifts, who have taken maximum points from every single league game this season.

Goals from Mark Secker and Justin Uddin scored the goals for Outwell as they despatched Ely with relative ease to sit nine points clear at the top of Kershaw Senior A.

Burwell Swifts latest game in Kershaw Senior B was yet another high-scoring affair, but the league leaders were held to a 4-4 draw by Whittlesford United.

Josef de Pffeifer was on the score sheet yet again, scoring a brace, with Richard Chadwick and Luke Hammett rounding off the scoring.

Burwell, despite dropping points, are four points clear at the top of the league.

Witchford 96 secured only their fourth with of the season against Lakenheath Reserves, winning 5-2.

There was also Junior Challenge Cup action this weekend, with Littleport Town progressing after hammering Thorney Reserves 8-1.

Cottenham United Reserves well less fortunate, however, as they lost 3-2 to Saffron Crocus.

Ely Crusaders put on an excellent performance and progressed with ease, beating Leverington Sports Reserves 5-1 with help from a Matt Brodie hat-trick. Haydn Palmer and Ian Walters scored the other goals for the Crusaders, who will play Manea United in the next round in January.

Isleham United exited the competition after losing 4-2 to Cherry Hinton Reserves, as did Soham United Reserves who lost 5-1 to March Rangers.

Little Downham swifts put nine past Bluntisham Rangers Reserves as they continue to march on in NMC 2B. Braces for William Crisp, Harry Thomson and Lewis Chambers set Downham on their way, with Michael Beeby, David Martin and Nathan Cox adding to their impressive tally.

Downham are two points clear at the top of the league, having won four of their five games.

In NMC 4B, Fordham Reserves were on the wrong end of 3-1 scoreline, losing to March Rangers Reserves.

Isleham United Reserves won their first game of the season, overcoming Coldham United 3-2 away from home.

Isleham Warriors bagged their fifth win in six games with a 5-1 win away at Chatteris Town A. The Warriors have a three point lead at the top of the league after their recent victory.

Guyhirn made short work of Burwell Tigers in NMC 5B, beating them 5-1 to remain top of the league.

Ely Crusaders Reserves contiunued their pursuit of Guyhirn with a 6-2 victory against Barton Mills and Cottenham United A shared the points with Needworth United Reserves after a 2-2 draw.

Marchester United leap-frogged Manea United into sixth place after a narrow 3-2 victory over their Fenland rivals.
