LITTLE Downham's run of good form continued at the weekend as they scored a battling 15 run win over Isleham I.

An early wobble boded ill for Downham as they went in to bat first, but a superb unbeaten knock of 64 from C Heaps ensured the ship was steadied and the home side were guided to 142-5. Isleham's D Cant led the way for the visitors with 2-20 from his 10 overs.

Though there was much yet to be done to secure the victory, Downham rose to the challenge with admirable zeal and bowled superbly to keep the visitors score down. A late flurry from Isleham's J Gordon (27) threatened to steal the win for the visitors but Downham held firm to take the win. Laxman Singh's figures of 3-17 proved the stand-out performance of the day.
