CITY of Ely bowler Nick Brett booked his place in the semi-final of the World Indoor Bowls Championships on Friday after beating David Gourlay 12-6 5-6 2-0.
The 35-year-old survived a nervous tie-break against Scotsman Gourlay to move into his first ever semi-final, set to take place on Saturday.
Fellow Ely bowler Greg Harlow will join his colleague in the semi-finals after he got the better of Scot Paul Foster 6-6 8-3.
Fortunately for Ely fans, Brett and Harlow will not meet in the semi-finals with both players drawn in separate clashes.
