Golf There was a double success for the City of Ely Golf Club as the second round of the Cambs and Hunts Junior Girls Golf Tour took place at Heydon Grange, in Hertfordshire.
In glorious sunshine, a talented field of youngsters began the day with an hour of tuition from club pro Stuart Smith before setting off on the nine-hole competition.
The lower handicap players played off from the red tees, whilst the higher handicap players played off forward blue tees.
The course proved a real challenge for the youngsters and required accurate shots to avoid the punishing rough at the edge of the fairways.
In the lower handicap group, Ella Mason and Ili Brooks - both of Ely City - finished with an excellent score of 19 points apiece, but Ella took top spot on count back.
The higher handicap section was won by Lauren McMaw, of Brampton Park, with 15 points.
