After a slow start 'Port quickly took control with some good attacking play from their forwards and fierce tackling from Mitchell Drewitt in midfield

Goals came from Finn Cater (3), Calvin Locke (3) and Ellis Yearn (2). Locke scored the goal of the game with a fierce half-volley which ended a move by the whole team.

WITCHFORD recorded a resounding victory at Cottenham.

Colts made a fast start with Max Loker scoring a hat-trick, and although Cottenham scored a fine breakaway goal, the firsts quarter ended 1-5.

Toby Rowsell then added four more goals, and Witchford extended their advantage to 11-1 by half-time with further contributions from Jack Sheridan, Jordan Emms and Loker, who finished the match with five goals.

Sheridan also scored five, but the final goal of the game went to Cottenham - a fitting reward for their perseverance.

MEPAL Sports dominated throughout and ran out easy winners.

Goals flowed regularly with hat-tricks for Daniel Oakland and Jacob Waters, and two each for George Rayner, Joe-Joe Corlito and man of the match Harrison Jones.

Defensive partners James Knox and Thomas Smith both scored one a-piece.

THREE weeks after beating Swallows 5-2 at home, Crusaders visited Burwell and returned home with another victory.

After conceding two early goals Ely recovered with strikes by Lewis Hook and Sam Scarborough, and an Alex Brown double and an own goal made it 5-2 at half-time.

Sam Felton and another own goal completed a 7-2 win.

HADDENHAM lost out to a well organised Witchford side.

Haddenham took the lead in the second quarter when Witchford's defence failed to clear, but this was the spur Witchford needed and Ryan Pettitt immediately equalised. Callum Munden then fired Witchford into the lead before giving them a two goal advantage soon afterwards.

THIS was a game in which the scoreline didn't really reflect the match.

Despite going a goal down at the start, Witchford battled hard to recover.

Some good chances and excellent defensive play followed, but Soham scored three more goals in the second half.

Charlie O'Connor pulled one back for Witchford, but they couldn't score again as the team suffered their second defeat against team in the same month.

Witchford's Man of the Match was Daniel Chapman.

SOHAM made their intentions clear from the start.

Alistair Hutchison - Soham's man of the match - picked up the ball in front of goal and slammed in the opener.

Jordy Turpin was on hand soon afterwards to strike the second, and Ross Davey made it three with a super strike into the top corner.

WITCHFORD produced their best performance of the season, defeating a previously unbeaten Brampton to advance to the last eight of the KO Cup.

Witchford took the lead after 10 minutes with a Ben Goad goal. Five minutes into the second half Josh Murfitt scored Witchford's second. The game was effectively over when, five minutes later, Al Hewitt made it 3-0 to Witchford.

Stretham Sporting 10

STRETHAM made the long trip to Saffron Walden and returned with the three points and a 10-goal advantage.

Greg Hine opened the scoring by heading in a Will Crisp corner, and Crisp himself got a hat-trick whilst Zack Barton (2), Craig Lawrence, Ryan Newton, Matthew Kerridge and Ben Ackroyd were also on target.

The home side continued to push until the end and were unlucky not to be rewarded with a consolation goal.

Godmanchester 1 Isleham 4

ISLEHAM created early chances which allowed Jamie Easter to score his first ever goal for the team, but Godmanchester levelled the scores before half-time.

The visitors came out strongly in the second and Chris Martin soon put them back in front. Cawley then fired low and hard past the Godmanchester goalie to make it 3-1. The hosts fought hard but were unable to score again and the final goal of the match came from Cawley.
