DIVISION ONE

Wymondham 1st XV 106

Ely 1st XV 0

ELY'S director of rugby Terry Moore described this as the worst standard of rugby he has ever seen at the club.

Rock bottom Ely conceded 16 tries, 13 of which were converted, against the runaway leaders of the division.

Moore said: "All the hard work and improvement disappeared and we were reduced to the worst standard I have seen at Ely."

The hosts went into a 61-0 half-time lead but the coach's half-time rant failed to lift the players as Wymdonham went on to complete the rout.

# There was good news for Ely Tigers third team, however, who were inspired by teenage debutant Lewis Jenkins to a 20-7 victory at Cambourne Exiles.
