Ely & District Cycling Club members were in action in Stansted, Hardwick, Newmarket and London over the weekend.

They began their busy weekend at the Victoria 10-mile time trial in Stansted, with Martin Holmes and Cliff Loveday recording times of 24:08 and 24:51 respectively.

In Hardwick, Rory Havis and Matt Eley finished second in the two-up competition with 20:27, before Eley returned in the solo competition to post 20:49. Rob Godling finished closely behind in 20:59 – a new personal best and Dan Bromilow (21:14 PB), Rory Havis (21:50), Derek Ricketts (22:13 PB), Will Shepherd (22:33) and John Manlow (22:38) also impressed.

Bromilow was back in action alongside Darran Bennett and John Manlow in Newmarket, with the trio posting times of 54:43, 58:52 and 56:17 respectively on the E2/25 course, before Alison Holmes, Laura Aldred and Chrissie King clocked up 100 miles at the Prudential Ride 100 in London.

They finished the challenge in seven hours, 14 minutes and 50 seconds.
