A HURDLER from Ely has been selected to represent Cambridgeshire at the English Schools' Junior Championship next month.
Jack Lines, 14, who attends the King's School in Ely, impressed selectors' with his recent performance in the 80 metre hurdles in the Anglian Schools' Championship. At this event Jack took second place, with a time of 11.87 seconds, which is well within the English Schools' qualifying standard of 12.3 seconds and just inside the Amateur Athletic Association grade one standard of 11.9 seconds.
Jack will travel to Gateshead for the two day event which starts on July 7.
