DENIS Copsey shone when Ely Sailing Club held their final class and handicap races of the season on Sunday.

In a light south-westerly breeze, Copsey took visiting youngster Jack Emery as a crew and they took line honours in all their races.

But in the first handicap race Gary Ungless won on corrected time by 50 seconds and Copsey was relegated to second.

Winds for the past three weeks have been very light and numbers have been reduced but it is hoped there will be more wind on Sunday with a good turn out for the Halloween Handicap Races starting at 11.30am.

The annual prize giving and laying up supper will be in the club house on Saturday, November 10 at 7.30pm.
