SOHAM were in desperate need of a win after going several weeks without a game.

Robson Barker got Soham started with two quick goals but Burwell got back into it after a succession of blunders from Soham gifted them a goal.

Soham woke up slightly after that and Barker completed his hat-trick before Joshua Greenley got on the scoresheet to make it 4-1 at half-time.

Burwell scored again just after the break before an own goal made it 5-2 to Soham. Mark Masterton's effort wrapped things up for the visitors.

Under-13 Division D

Huntingdon Rowdies 2

Soham Town Colts 0

THIS was a game that Huntingdon had to win to finish top of the league.

In the first period, Soham were controlling the midfield. Chances were created for Town and had even one been taken the outcome could have been different. The score remained 0-0 at the break.

The second half was a different story with Rowdies taking control of the game. They converted two of their chances during the last few minutes, and ran out deserved winners.

For Soham, Charlie Wills won man of the match for an outstanding performance in goal.

PRIORY started fast and furious, going a goal up before Cameron Robb equalised for Crusaders.

Priory took the lead again from the penalty spot, but Ashley Hammersley levelled matters after a goalmouth scramble.

The decider came from man of the match Luke Hayes.

Under-11 Division A

Little Downham Eagles 2

Littleport Town 3

PORT just came out winners in this hard-fought derby.

They started the better team and opened the scoring with a goal from Joseph Murfitt. Downham pressed hard after this and soon equalised. Port put the pressure on once more and a stunning strike from Luke Thompson put Port back in front at half-time.

In the second half, Port scored their third with a good finish from Liam Ball. Downham pulled one back and pushed hard all the way but could not find the equaliser.

Under-10 Division F

Isleham United 3 Soham Utd 4

AN even first half saw some great play from both sides, with Steven Porter preventing Isleham breaking through on several occasions.

Soham broke the deadlock through Paul Wallis with Isleham drawing level before the interval.

After the break, Isleham took the lead with a well-taken goal only for Soham to swiftly reply with three goals in quick succession, man of the match Wallis completing his hat-trick and one from Callum Bush. Isleham managed to score one more time before the final whistle.

Under-Nine Division F

Ely Crusaders 1 Mepal Sports 2

MEPAL started the better, soon putting the Ely goal under pressure and a great strike from Tommy Corlito gave Mepal a deserved lead.

Ely breached the Mepal defence to equalise. A sweeping move involving Charlie Root, Conor Logan and Mitchell Morse saw Logan's shot saved by the Mepal keeper but when the rebound fell at Morse's feet there was only going to be one outcome.

Mepal retook the lead with a poached goal from Tommy Rayner.

Ely Crusaders 3 Newmarket Town B 2

ELY played a very close game against a good Newmarket team.

After going behind, Ely battled hard and then equalised through Max Wright. After a good move between Finley Logan and Samuel Lowe, Wright scored again.

With Newmarket pressing, Wright scored his hat-trick and his 35th goal of the season. Newmarket then got a goal back but with Mark Hady making great saves he earned the man of the match.

Mepal Sports 4 Cottenham United 2

MEPAL Sports and Cottenham United produced an exhilarating game that saw another win for Mepal with Sam Evans striking home his first for the club.

The second came from a Cottenham own goal before Callum Angood got Mepal's third.

Mepal's fourth goal came from a powerful midfield strike from Richard Threadgold that flew past Cottenham's defence to hit the back of the net.

Littleport Town 2 Little Downham 1

DOWNHAM dominated the game early on, making the Littleport defence work hard.

Port then took control with a goal from Harry Morton increasing their confidence as a team.

An excellent shot from a Downham player deflected off Morton to level the scores.

It was that man Morton, however, who scored the winner to claim the man of the match award.
