MORE than 50 youngsters from the Soham Town Colts teams, under-sevens upwards, enjoyed the chance to meet and then train with Soham Town Rangers first team before the Ridgeons League match against AFC Sudbury on Saturday.
The joint-session was thought up by Mark Turpin, who trains one of the under-nine teams. He said: "It is great to see the senior players involved, hopefully it will give some inspiration to my players."
The view was echoed by Rangers manager Ian Benjamin, who said: "I am pleased for the team to be involved. I am a big believer in youth football and had two 16-year-olds on the bench against Sudbury."
Soham Town Colts are still hoping to find some land to develop a permanent home for their club and become the focal point for local soccer development.
