Ely Crusaders 19

CRUSADERS returned from Fulbourn with a staggering 19-1 win.

Jordan Marston opened the scoring for Crusaders and the team went on to dictate proceedings.

Jake Butler, James Barrett, Edward Frodsham Lewis Hook and Sam Felton all claimed one goal each which, alongside Thomas Funnell's pair and Anthony Riches' energetic hat-trick, contributed to the 11-0 half time scoreline.

The goals continued to flow after the break as Funnell doubled his total. George Leech scored direct from a corner and Jake Butler's second moved the Ely total to 15.

Two more each from Felton and Hook completed the scoring.

Mepal Sports 5

Cottenham United 6

MEPAL started well with Luke Merry handing the home side the lead.

Mepal kicked-on after the opener and Ben Harnwell netted to double the lead. Cottenham came back strong and pulled a goal back. Elliot Martin restored the two-goal lead before United moved into a 5-3 lead with four unanswered goals. Mepal continued to keep up pressure on the Cottenham end and were rewarded with a Jon Collins goal. Another goal then followed from Cottenham. During the final minutes of the game Tom Goodjohn came through with a goal to take the final score 6-5.

Witchford Colts 4

Spartack 78 2

COLTS opened the scoring midway through the half as David Mayle rose highest to nod home from a corner.

Some slick passing movement in front of goal saw Colts double their lead as Solly Grover slotted home. Mayle moved Witchford into a decisive lead minutes before the half-time break.

Spartack scored two quick goals after the break to put Witchford on alert but Spencer Saberton sealed the points late on, poking home a corner.

Isleham United 1

Gamlingay United 1

ISLEHAM gained a well deserved point following a 1-1 draw.

Isleham opened the scoring through Ross Grant-Royall on 11 minutes. Gamlingay missed a number of chances before finding the net to level the score five minutes before half time.

After the break play was end-to-end. Isleham's keeper, Jamie Eavis pulled off three good stops in succession. With four minutes remaining, a fine strike from Ross Grant-Royall slipped narrowly wide and both teams settled for the draw.

Haddenham Rovers 4

Priory Parkside 1

THE visitors took at early lead against a sluggish looking Rovers but this spurred the home team into life.

Rowan Shergold soon broke the offside trap to score followed by Josh Robinson to put the hosts 2-1 up at half-time.

Robinson hit the bar with a lovely strike before Tyrell Barrett rounded the keeper to make it 3-1.Charlie Russell fired in from 20 yards after some lovely footwork .

Under 15s

Chatteris Town 1

Littleport Town 3

PORT played away at Chatteris on Sunday and came away with a good win.

Chatteris started the better and took the lead from a corner after 10 minutes.

Port regrouped at half-time and they got back on level terms when Tom Bersford scored from outside the box. Port then went in front following a free kick from Charlie Bowditch which Luke Thompson rose to head in. Port then wrapped the game up through Callum Mackender who lashed the ball into the roof of the net.

Haverhill Rovers 3

Soham Town Youth 6

TOWN took the lead through Ryan Saban who hit a superb left footed strike into the top corner.

Haverhill replied shortly after and soon moved into a 2-1 lead as Soham floundered. After regrouping, Soham then moved into a lead of their own with Elliot Drewery and Dan Whitwell netting to put the visitors in control.

James Seymour then played in Whitwell who finished well at the second attempt to put the visitors 4-2 in front.

Soham moved further into the ascendancy in the second-half and goals from

Saban and Ryan Collins completed the scoring.
