Haddenham Rovers Colts 3
ROVERS continued their remarkable 14 month unbeaten run as they overcame a resilient Bottisham team 3-0.
Haddenham sprung out of the traps and despite playing into the wind got a dream start when, within two minutes, Joshua Akinwumi rifled past the keeper.
Bottisham came back strongly, but were left reeling when Akinwumi put Rovers 2 - 0 up within 15 minutes. Rovers took total control in the second half and Bottisham were dealt the killer blow with 12 minutes remaining when Ollie Johnson netted.
Girton Under 5
Witchford Under 6
WITCHFORD put in a good performance to secure their second consecutive win.
An even first half ended 1-1 with Lewis Woolard putting Witchford ahead from a corner. After the break positive Girton play put them into a 3-1 lead but Witchford fought back well. James Forber made it 3-2 and James Everett got the equaliser from a fantastic long range shot. The Witchford attack were now on top and clever play saw goals from Roly Dickinson and James Forber. Girton kept going and scored another but Witchford maintained a two goal with Roly Dickinson slotting home his second, securing the win.
Ely Crusaders 0
Littleport Town 3
THE first half of this local derby saw Ely play the better football and create most of the chances but neither keeper was troubled.
The first goal came from second half sub Arron Heaps after a good piece of skill inside the box gave him the room to lob over the keeper. Port were spurred on by the goal and the second soon followed from a Ben Hawkins corner as Charlie Bowditch came in at the far post to side foot home. Port's third was again from a Hawkins corner with Jake Kennedy firing into the net.
Soham Town Colts 2
Girton Colts 0
TOWN took the lead 10 minutes from the break after good build-up play from Drewery and Collins saw Liam Lewis smash home from the edge of the box.
After the break Soham still had the upper hand and soon added to their lead when Liam Lewis's perfect cross found Ollie Kerridge. This goal seemed to knock all wind from Girton's sails and the remaining twenty minutes were played out with neither side creating much in the way of chances.
Bar Hill Colts 3
Ely Crusaders 4
JON Bartlett opened the scoring for Ely as he smashed past a sprawling keeper.
Bar Hill soon answered with some good football and a strike that left Sam Males standing. Hill kicked on and squeezed home a corner to take the lead going into half time. Phil Cowlan broke through the Hill defence to bring the scores equal again after the break, but Bar Hill responded immediately to recapture the lead.
Kurt Farr was on hand to equalize once again for Ely and Sam Young smashed the ball into the back of the net to snatch the points.
