ELY Sailing Club members competed in the Cambs and Beds Sailing Association Regatta, at Grafham Water, on Saturday.
In blustery conditions, which caused many boats to capsize, they managed to finish as third team overall and bring home three individual prizes.
Andy Wilcox, crewed by Hannah Christan, sailed an RS400 and finished third overall in the fast handicap fleet.
Vincent Christan, sailing a Laser Radial, won two races and so won the slow handicap fleet prize and team mate Alex Tory came fourth overall in his Solo.
At Roswell Water, on Sunday, a depleted fleet sailed a full afternoon's programme of races but the wind was variable and at times died. Niall Pearcey in his Solo had a successful afternoon, winning all his races.
Results: First handicap race (7 boats): 1 Niall Pearcey (Solo), 2 Gary Ungless (Solo), 3 Bob Utteridge and Marie Brown (Enterprise). Second handicap race: 1 Niall Pearcey, 2 Alan White (Solo), 3 Simon Marshall (S/H Enterprise). First and second Enterprise Class races: 1 Simon Marshall (s/h), 2 Bob Utteridge and Marie Brown. First and second Laser Class races: 1 John Cant. First Solo Class race: 1 Niall Pearcey, 2 Les Booth, 3 Frank Piper. Second Solo Class race: 1 Niall Pearcey, 2 Alan White, 3 Les Booth.
