THE City of Ely scored an impressive seven wicket victory over a strong March side.
Asked to bowl first, Ely proved a stern test for the visitors, with a combination of spin and pace restricting March's scoring to a minimum.
Bruce King (4-37) led the way for Ely, helping to keep March's score to a reasonable 173-6 at the close of the innings.
Needing a little over four-an-over for victory, Ely set about their task with gusto and knocks of 61* and 67* from King and A Foster respectively helped guide the home side to victory in a little less than 43 overs.
