MILDENHALL manager Trevor Munns made five changes to his side after Saturday's dismal performance, and this resulted in an excellent away win at Halstead on Tuesday night.
Marcus Herring was brought in at right back, Andy Eady came in at centre back, Matthew Clemence played on the wing and Dan Herron started up front in a new-look 4-2-2-1-1 formation.
The tactical change quickly paid off, with the visitors 2-0 up after just 20 minutes, with an eighth minute Clemence goal
after some neat build-up play and a cross from Alan North, and Matty Wright scoring with a flicked header at the near post from a long throw in.
Mildenhall continued to dominate the game in the second half, with Heron hitting the post, having a decent penalty claim turned down, and forcing a goal line clearance.

Halstead then equalised with a goal on the break, midway through the second
half and they started to pile on the
pressure.
But resilient defending, with Eady and Wright particularly solid in the centre, ensured that Mildenhall picked up their first win of the season.
Clemence was man-of-the-match.
Mildenhall's next match is at home to Kirkley in the FA Cup on Saturday.
