LADIES captain Hannah Scotney is keen to see her team harness their killer instinct as they bid to secure promotion to the East Hockey League.
Speaking after Ely secured a comfortable 5-0 win against South Cambridge, Scotney revealed her desire to see more even more goals from her team, "The last time we played these guys (Cambridge) we won 6-0 so I would have perhaps liked to have matched that but I am definitely happy with the win, she said.
"We did have a lot of penalty corners throughout the game and opportunities to score goals that we missed and on another day I think we could have scored more, but we got the points and that was the most important thing."
Should Ely secure promotion from the Premier Division of the Cambs League they will face an altogether tougher prospect in the East League where they will come up against some of the toughest teams in the county.
