CITY of Ely's Nicky Brett has made it onto the World Bowls Tour's World Rankings for the first time in four years.
The England No 1 is now ranked world No 22.
He qualified for events in Sheffield and Perth and battled through two rounds at Dewars to secure his maiden quarter-final WBT berth.
Four years ago Brett was ranked world No 25.
He said: "It's been an ambition to get back on the list. I feel I have been playing at the same sort of level for the last four years but it's all about performing at your best at the right time and making sure you don't have an off day when it counts.
"I've performed reasonably well in the last few weeks but I'll always look at the games I lose and think I could have done better. But if I'd been told at the start of the season that I would make it to the quarter-final of a world ranking event I'd certainly have taken it.
"It can be incredibly difficult to keep qualifying for the World Bowls Tour tournaments - you can play six games in one day against top players. I won't have to play so many qualifying matches now but the downside is the players I do play are well warmed up."
Brett's club-mate, Greg Harlow, slipped one place to World No 3.
