British Bowls legend Andy Thomson MBE visted Ely Bowls Club on Tuesday afternoon to share his knowledge of the sport with current members.
Thomson, who won three World Indoor Championship titles during his playing career, visited the club to give advice in a special event in conjunction with leading bowls manufacturer Taylor Bowls and Bowls Bi-Us.
The visit was attended by fans of both indoor and lawn Bowls, with Thomson even finding time to show off his skills against those in attendance.
Robert Elmore, of Ely Bowls Club, said the Scotsman’s visit was enjoyed by all at the club.
He said: “It was a really good day and drew a nice crowd from players of both indoor and lawn Bowls. Andy gave lots of good advice and tips and everyone learned from him.”
