BASKETBALL players from East Cambridgeshire are bound to look up to their new coach - he's Ben Johnson, who at 6ft 8in, towers above the players including (pictured) Colin Chen from King's Inter-national Study Centre in Ely.

Coach Johnson, who lives at Brandon, has played as a professional both in his native USA and in Europe. He will be coaching King's School players as well as Ely Kings Basketball Club, which uses the school's indoor sports hall for weekly coaching sessions.

He hopes to build on the growing popularity of the sport in the area. Last month's Isle of Ely under-16 Basketball Tournament, hosted by the King's School, attracted teams from all over the district.
