Cycling David McGraw retained his title with a star showing at the Ely and District Cycling Club time trial.

McGraw, from Cambridge Cycling Club, completed the Mepal to Witcham course in 21mins 15secs, just outside the course record he set in winning the event last year.

In second place was Cambridge University Cycling Club’s, Felix Barker, finishing in 21mins 22secs, with Daniel Bloy, of team VeloVeloCity, coming third in 21mins 30secs.

The trip from the Channel Islands to Ely was worth it Marina Bleasdale as she collected first lady prize, finishing the course in 26mins 15secs. Host club Ely took the team prize, with Robert Golding, Phil Gosling and Darran Bennett the fastest three club riders finishing

The annual event brought in 42 riders from around the region, including two riders from Guernsey Velo Club, both having ridden the day before in the Tour of Cambridgeshire event at Peterborough.
