ATHLETICS: Ely Runners brave the cold at Frosbite Friendly League fixture

An Ely Runners talent stormed to a top-10 finish in the second instalment of the Frostbite Friendly League last weekend.
Paul Waggitt ran the five-mile challenge in 28 minutes and 53 seconds to finish ninth overall.
Twenty-three Ely runners also took part and Robin Wedd (19th, 29:54), Lee Tatum (20th, 29:55) and Ross Payne (51st, 31:56) impressed.
Ely Runners finished 11th out of 16, leaving them in 12th place overall.

The juniors finished sixth out of 15 and are sixth in the league standings.
