AS MANY as 70 youngsters are expected to take part in next month's Ely Aquathlon.
The event will be held at the King's School on Sunday, September 2 and children aged between nine and 16 years-old will compete in the fun event.
This year, all competitors will receive a free T-shirt designed by Dynamic Creative and there will be medals up for grabs in three age groups.
The Ely Aquathlon is free to enter and competitors must be capable of swimming 100m and running 800m.
There will be much more to enjoy on the day including a barbecue, refreshments, bouncy castle and sportswear stall, and members of the Ely swimming, cycling and running clubs will compete in a Triathlon Relay.
The event will run from 11am to 1pm and entry fees have been covered by Specsavers, in Ely.
