ELY golfer Laura Todd was one of the victorious squad when Cambs and Hunts County Girls golf first team recorded a convincing 6 - 0 win over Norfolk County Girls.
Resplendent in their new, pale blue uniform, the confident first team squad were not deterred by playing away at Thetford Golf Club and inflicted a crushing defeat on their opponents last Saturday.
The wins bring Cambs and Hunts a step closer to reaching the Junior Matchplay Finals at Droitwich Golf Club, near Birmingham in October.
Golf County Junior Girls Organiser Marcella Tuttle said: "Laura did really well and played a vital part in the team's success. This shows how far girls' golf has progressed over the last few years in the county. A lot of hard work and commitment has gone into developing the girls' game and we're looking forward to a good future."
