Joao Varela’s strike was enough to seal Ely City’s first league win in almost three months.
The goal earned City a 1-0 victory at Mulbarton Wanderers in the Eastern Counties Premier Division on March 25, having last won on January 2.
It was defeat for Soham Town Rangers after a 1-0 reverse at Walsham Le Willows in the same division.
Ely lost at Newmarket Town on March 28 while Soham's game at Fakenham Town was postponed.
