Missed tackles proved costly for Ely Tigers after a 15-12 defeat on the road at Wymondham.

The home side saw the first points on the board as the Tigers' problem of missed tackles continued in London 1 Eastern Counties League on December 3.

Errors from the Tigers kept rising as the home side led 12-0.

As half time approached, the Tigers started getting a hold on their play and the game stopped and started.

Ely were on the scoresheet by the end of the first half thanks to Mitch Kennett and Jake Alsop.

The scores were soon level after half-time when Michael Reeves scored for the visitors.

Wymondham gained the chance to kick for three points in front of the posts which would give the home side the advantage.

And one more error from Tigers closed the game as the hosts kicked the resulting penalty into touch.

Ely host Southwold at Cambridge Commodities Park on December 10.
