ISLEHAM 2nd XI took the plaudits at the weekend as they made light work of Chatteris 3rd XI in an eight wicket victory.
Four wickets from Steven Goff in a fiercely accurate early session of bowling did much of the damage for the visitors as they restricted Chatteris to a paltry 123-8 from their allotted overs.
Needing just under three runs an over to secure victory, Isleham set about their task with flashing blades and a quick fire 49 from Robert Blair, ably complimented by a 44 not out from Darren Diver, saw them to victory.
There was no such luck for Isleham's 1st XI though, as they went down by seven wickets at Cambridge Granta 3rd XI.
