SOHAM'S wobble at the top of the Cambs Junior League 3A continued at the weekend as they lost out by four wickets to Littleport II.
Put in to bat first, Soham scored well on a tough pitch and managed to work their way to 144-7 from their 40 overs, a steady run-rate of around 3.6 per over. Captain Peter Hinde, top scoring for his side with a useful 44.
Seemingly unfazed by Soham's history of imperious bowling performances this season, Port eased into their innings with aplomb and look wholly comfortable at the crease.
N Heaps set the tone for Port with 60 at the top of the order, and he was ably assisted by S Wallis who added 33 late on to secure victory for the home side.
