CAMBRIDGESHIRE FA has this afternoon (Tuesday) confirmed that Ely City will progress to the next round of the FA Vase following a hearing.
It was alleged that the Robins' third round opponents Woodbridge had fielded an ineligible player in their 1-1 draw at the Unwin Ground on November 14.
A subsequent investigation carried out on Tuesday upheld the claim and Woodbridge were duly removed from the competition. Ely will now go forward to face St Ives away on December 5.
