ELY City defender Jamie Alsop has become the second Robins player to join King’s Lynn Town in the close season, it was announced this week.
The recently re-formed Norfolk side signed centre-back Brady Stone in May and have now moved for Stone’s team mate and left-back Alsop, according to an announcement on the club’s website.
Alsop, 25, signed for Ely in 2007 after spells at Newmarket and Mildenhall and was a regular fixture in Denis Lightning’s squad last season.
King’s Lynn were due to visit the Unwin Ground on July 10 for the first of their pre-season friendly fixtures, but the fixture has had to be shelved due to clashes with the Ely Folk Festival.
