ELY boxer Danny Hedges is through to the quarter finals of the Junior ABA Championships to be held in Essex in April.
The 15-year-old made it through after he won his Eastern Counties final bout against Kevan Davies of Essex-based Billericay ABC last weekend.
The Ely youngster, who boxes at March ABC, was at full throttle in all three rounds and come through with flying colours against an accomplished opponent.
Meanwhile, Wentworth fighter Tyler Goodjohn scored his fourth win in the professional ranks by out pointing Danny Connor at a dinner show in Romford, Essex.
The former Haddenham ABC puncher picked up a 58-56 points victory in what was a gruelling contest against Connor fought over six rounds. Goodjohn will be back in action again in late April as he fights on the undercard at London’s Olympia.
