Golf Ely’s Emily Slater has secured her place to play at the Callaway Junior World Championships in America next summer.
Emily, 16, played in the British Junior Golf Tour two-day event in Lincolnshire where she shot an impressive 1 under par on the Hotchkin Course on Saturday to give her the overnight lead by three shots.
She followed her opening round up on Sunday with a two over par round on the Bracken Course which gave her a total lead of 9 shots for the event. The win secured a place for her to play in the Callaway Junior World championships at Torrey Pines in San Diego in July. This event attracts juniors from all over the world and is a world ranking event.
