Cycling Ely and District Cycling Club members were in action at the first round of the Mud, Sweat and Gears racing series, at the weekend.
The event, held in Shouldham Warren, Norfolk, featured Ely riders Matt Eley and Liam Walker, taking on some of the best riders from across the region.
Eley took part in the sport category where he finished in sixth place, completing five laps in 1hr 39mins 22secs, while Walker finished in 30th place, finishing four laps in the allocated time
With summer approaching, club members are starting to turn their attentions to the time trial season following a winter of training.
Club member Colin Whitechurch was in action at the Kettering Cycling Club 20, posting a time of 59 minutes and 49 seconds, while Robert Golding took part in the CC Breakland 10 finishing in a time of 23 minutes and 24 seconds.
