Soham Town Rangers have added another attacking option ahead of their Bostik League North Division curtain-raiser this weekend.
Striker James Tricks, who spent last season at St Neots Town, signed on the dotted line for Robbie Mason’s men following their 4-1 friendly win over Chasetown last Saturday.
Tricks agreed terms with the Greens after hitting their second goal in their final pre-season fixture of the summer at Julius Martin Lane.
The 23-year-old has previously turned out for Daventry Town, Cambridge City, Newmarket Town, Boston United and Soham’s East Cambridgeshire neighbours, Ely City.
The signing will come as a boost for Mason, who is preparing his squad for their opening day trip to AFC Hornchurch on Saturday (3pm).
New signings Dan Buddle, Matty Allan, Alistair Conway, Josh Pope, Lewis Clayton and Harry Norman are expected to feature.
They then host Norwich United on Tuesday evening (7.45pm).
