Ely Sailing Club is holding a free open day over the Bank Holiday, on Monday May 7.
A club spokesman said: “Whether you’re completely new to the sport or looking to get back on the water, our open day is the perfect time to give it a go.
“Therefore, we are inviting the local community to come down to have a go at sailing with us, see what Ely Sailing Club has to offer and get involved. Who knows, you might just get hooked.”
Starting at 1pm, there will be a host of activities taking place including touring the lake and a free taster session out on the water joined by experienced sailors. All buoyancy aids will be provided.
As an Royal Yachting Association Training Centre, instructors will be on hand to provide information about RYA approved training courses together with details of membership.
BBQ hot dogs, burgers, cakes, snacks, tea and coffee will also be available.
