Pupils from the Robert Arkenstall primary school in Haddenham are celebrating after winning the High Five netball festival run by East Cambs District Council on Thursday.
Haddenham entered two teams. The B team played really well together through the league rounds and were unlucky not to qualify for the semi-finals. The A team won every game in their league without conceding a goal.
They met Rackham in the semi-final and after a close game came out winners.
The final was very exciting to watch with some outstanding play from the whole team.
They won convincingly against Little Downham to take the title. It was a great achievment for the school and every player gave 100 per cent.
Sports co-ordinator for the school, Caroline Falconer, was very proud of both teams and winning this tournament was a first for the school.
Squads: Robert Arkenstall A: Megan Holden, Emma Lowe, Lauren Flack, Jamie Woor, Michael Thomas, and Matthew Morton.
Robert Arkenstall B: Tanya Stittle, Amy Bevis, Daisy Bevis, Chloe Barrett, Laurence Martin, Michael Heath, and Graham Laidler.
