LITTLEPORT tennis ace Robin Goodman was the star of the Cambridge Open junior tennis tournament last week, winning two titles without dropping a set.
The 14-year-old claimed the under-18s and under-16s titles after a week's tennis at the Cambridge Lawn Tennis Club.
Goodman cruised through he early rounds, but was made to work hard by Christy Brookes in the under-18 final, before winning 6-4, 6-2. He then beat Kristian Wingate by the same score in the under-16s.
This was a tremendous achievement for the youngster, whose speed around the court and mental strength helped him to defeat physically more developed players.
