IT was double joy for City of Ely Bowls Club last week.
A 100-46 demolishing of March on Sunday secured a place in the third round of the Egham Trophy.
The win came three days after the club's women bowlers beat St Neots 84-76 to reach the same stage of the Yetton Trophy.
But City of Ely's Nicky Brett was knocked out of the quarter-final of the Scottish International Open last Thursday.
Brett was beaten by world No. 5 Jason Greenslade, 6-8, 2-11, 0-2.
World No. 7 Andy Thomson won the final, beating Mark Royal 11-5, 8-5.
