CITY of Ely bowlers Greg Harlow and Andy Ware will be part of a select field in the Potters Holiday World Indoor Bowls Championships which takes place at Hopton-on-Sea, Norfolk over the next three weeks.
Harlow - currently ranked second in the world and a former finalist - will meet either New Zealander Philip Bennett or Welsh International David Axon in the second round of the singles competition.
Ware, meanwhile, was due to face fellow England qualifier Alistair Hansen on Tuesday for the right to play 11th seed Mark McMahon (Australia) in the second round.
Harlow and McMahon will team up as second seeds against English qualifiers Neil Smith and Adam Tidley in the first round of the world pairs.
Ware ensured that City of Ely Bowls Club finished 2007 on a high by winning the Bournemouth Masters competition.
Andy and his team-mates Harlow and Nicky Brett were also selected to play for England in the Home International Series at Perth, Scotland, taking place between March 14-16.
City of Ely Ladies will be similarly represented when Sarah Seymour, Ellen Faulkner and Michelle Barlow appear for England in the International Series in Wales between March 18-20.
Ellen Faulkner is currently in New Zealand contesting the World Outdoor Championships.
