WORKMEN have started carrying out facelifts on worn out roads in Sutton and Lode under a £200,000 improvement project.

In Sutton resurfacing has taken place on the road and footpath along Church Lane between its junctions with Ely Road and Station Road.

Work is also been carried out to The America, between its junctions with Bury Lane and Chain Causeway and is expected to finish tomorrow (Friday).

The road has been closed and a signed diversion put in place using the A1123 Earith Bridge, Haddenham, A1421 to Witcham Toll and A142 to Sutton.

Work to resurface the footway and relay kerbing along the High Street in Lode started last week and is due to finish on July 13.

The work is being carried out between the junctions with Millards Lane and Sunny Ridge Farm.
