THE October meeting was well attended, after singing Jerusalem, Daphne Armstrong Tate introduced us to Chi-Kung Chinese Breathing, exercises for well-being. The secretary concluded the business session and dates for diaries were noted. A visit to Prickwillow WI has been arranged for December 11.

Coffee morning for Macmillan Nurses raised £300. Letters of thanks from G Hart, L Goodge, J Brown for flowers and cards. Birthdays J Brown, P Neal. Cup and saucer for points D Tooke.

The president introduced the speaker Jackie Tevling, her illustrated talk on Joyce Grenfell included monologues music, songs and poems. Vote of thanks from M Fresco competition drew 10 entries, a draw ended the evening.

The next meeting is on Thursday, November 9 and this is the annual meeting. The speaker will be Barbara Kippax on dolls, houses and miniatures. The competition is for a hand-made set of dolls clothes.
