THE president Pam Turner welcomed members to the November meeting. This month we tried a different format to the meeting by having the speaker first, followed by coffee and the business matters. Unfortunately, the speaker for the evening could not attend, so members Pam, Liz and Sheila stepped in at the last moment. They demonstrated Christmas flower arrangements to the members; the arrangements were all different and the demonstrators made it look so easy, but when it was the turn of the members to make their own arrangements, there were some very different interpretations of the arrangements. Everyone enjoyed the evening, proudly taking home their own arrangements. Janet Betterman thanked the three ladies for sharing their skills with the members.

Sheila Searle won the competition with a pretty Cyclamen in a basket.

The meeting on December 5, which is at the earlier time of 7pm, is the annual meeting, which will be followed by singing of carols and a buffet. Members please remember to bring a plate, cutlery and a glass to the meeting.

The January meeting will be held at the Methodist Hall at 7.30pm, when four members will be cooking various recipes.

Normally we meet on the first Tuesday of the month at the Arkenstall Centre at 7.30pm. We will be very pleased to see new members join us in the new year. Ladies, make it your new year resolution and come and join us, to meet and make new friends.
