A WOMAN was rushed to hospital with serious injuries following a crash involving a car and a coach in Littleport on Thursday.

The collision took place on the Lynn Road junction of the A10 at around 7.15pm with police forced to close the road for several hours while emergency crews dealt with the incident.

One woman, who was a passenger in a silver Suzuki Wagon, was freed from the wreckage of her car by firefighters before being rushed to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge.

The driver of the car was also treated for minor injuries.

Police closed the road between the A10 junction with the A1101 and the Camel Road junction.
