Woman hurt after car careers into field near Ely

A WOMEN escaped with just minor injuries after her car careered into a field near Ely.

Ambulance crews were called to Prickwillow Road shortly after 10.15am on Wednesday after reports that a car had left the road and ended up in a field.

East of England Ambulance spokesman Gary Sanderson said: “A woman who we believe to be 25-years-old was already out of the car on our arrival. The ambulance crew treated her at the scene before she was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge for further care.”

The spokesman added that she escaped with only minor injuries from the smash.
