A WOMAN who consumed a cocktail of drugs before driving into the back of a lorry on the busy A14 has been ordered to complete of substance abuse programme as part of her two-year supervision order.
Melanie Nunn, who had cocaine, opiates, methadone and benzodiazepines in her system at the time of the accident, was also banned from driving for two years by Ely magistrates, and must pay �60 costs.
Last month the 32-year-old mother from West Row admitted driving while unfit through drugs at Swaffham Bulbeck.
After the accident she could barely stand, her eyes were half closed the pupils dilated, the court was told.
Mitigating, solicitor Guy Holland said Nunn had a long history of intravenous drug use, but has been heroin free for the past three years. She has a prescription for the heroin substitute methadone.
