FIRE-fighters had to cut a woman from her car following a rush hour collision on the Soham bypass on Tuesday.

The two-vehicle smash took place at about 7.45am, with one car forced into a roadside ditch by the impact.

Two fire crews from Soham attended the incident and cut the woman from her car before she was transferred to an ambulance and taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge.

Her injuries were described as minor.

Police said there were no road closures and the scene was cleared by 9.30am.
