SUTTON woman Sandra Scrivener has been charged with sexually assaulting a girl under the age of 16, and on Thursday the case was sent to Cambridge Crown Court.

Scrivener, 27, of Mepal Road, had already denied kidnapping the same girl, and this week was also committed to the Crown Court on that charge.

She has also been charged with supplying the girl with cannabis, and allowing her home to be used for the smoking of cannabis, but has not indicated a plea to those charges.

It is alleged she sexually assaulted the girl on or about October 22 last year, and abducted the youngster on November 11 last year. She is accused of supplying cannabis to the girl between August 1 and November 9 last year, and permitted her home to be used for smoking cannabis between August 10 and November 10.

Scrivener is due to appear in the Crown Court for a preliminary hearing tomorrow (March 10).
