Year 10 students from Witchford Village College have been experiencing what it would be like in the world of work.
Local businesses, schools, pre-schools and shops took on students to give them a taste of the working world on a two-week placement.
“We have had resounding praise from employers,” said a spokesman for the college.
“One employer said of a student ‘her attitude to her work experience has been fantastic. She is always keen to learn and help where needed. This student is a real credit to themselves and Witchford Village College’.”
The college spokesman added: “Students came back to school motivated and more confident from this valuable experience, with definite ideas and career aspirations for the future.”
One student said: “I enjoyed the placement and the independence it gave me.
“I didn’t really know what to expect but it was so much better than I thought and fun.”
