Wilburton pupils step out for charity in sponsored walk

Pupils at Wilburton Primary School undertook a sponsored walk in aid of East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) and raised £896

The pupils completed a rural walk on St Peter’s Day ending at the village’s St Peter’s Church.

EACH Ely Friends Group Member Shirley Scott visited the School’s celebration assembly to receive the funds and present a participation certificate to each child.

Hannah Reynolds, chairman of the Wilburton School Association said: “Our first St Peter’s Day sponsored walk was a wonderful experience. The children took part in the walk with real enthusiasm.”
